The Inn has an excellent location, free parking nearby, and a fair price. Old creaky hardwood floors can be heard throughout the rooms but it wasn't the end of the world. The shower could only be counted on for about one minute of hot water. Had brunch in the restaurant, which is the best breakfast that I have found in Stratford. Scrambled eggs were just about perfect, bread/toast was amazing, bacon was just the right crispness. We totally cleared our plates and would definitely return in the future.
My fiancé and I came here for dinner right after getting engaged, and it was the most perfect place to celebrate. Our server (we believe his name was Scott) made it so special and celebratory, and we had an amazing time. The food and drinks were all delicious. We got the special, splitting the massive 20oz steak, and everything was perfect. Thank you so much for making our engagement dinner so lovely!
We didn't stay here, we just came for breakfast. The food was exquisite! My husband had the Chef's Choice Scramble and I had the Mushroom Toast. Both were Very elegant and delicious. The very best meal we had throughout our 4 day stay in Stratford. Cannot recommend it enough.
Stayed here for a few nights the food was great. The walls are paper thin and the shower had zero hot water. Great location though!
What a gem. I couldn't get home last night with the storm by my house , Goderich area. I called Ryan to see if a room was available? I can't praise this place enough. Ryan was very professional and fantastic to work with. My room was very clean and smelt great. In the morning I had breakfast downstairs. The young lad serving , I didn't get his name was so pleasant and a great service experience. Breakfast was fantastic. Thank you Foster's Inn. I will definitely be back.
They did some upgrades for the door locks, and location is very convenient, the room is quiet and cozy. They kept ancient features in this building. There is dust on some light fixtures, they should do the cleaning more detailedly.
My stay at the Foster’s Inn was great. The gentleman at reception was friendly and helpful and told me all the best spots in the area. The room was spacious and clean. When I ordered takeout from the restaurant they even offered to put it on a plate and sent me with proper cutlery. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this location. I’m here every December and will definitely stay again!
I have to give 5 stars because of the courtesy of the staff, we had an emergency and bad weather forcing us to stay in town. they were very accommodating and helpful treated us very well through the whole experience. The restaurant and rooms are very cozy.
